Helping Haiti

January 28th, 2010

Hi all!

Your local NMI council is hard at work raising money and supplies to help out with the disaster in Haiti. We are supporting Nazarene Compassionate ministries, which will not only help meet the physical needs of those affected by the earthquake, but the spiritual ones as well.

We are meeting this Saturday, January 30th at the church around 11:15 am to gather supplies into a care package. Think you can donate something? Click here for a list of supplies requested by the Caribbean Region Church of the Nazarene.

The Church of the Nazarene has a large presence in Haiti, having the largest Nazarene population in any country outside the United States. There are over 90,000 members in 523 established churches throughout 11 districts. The Haiti Nazarene Bible College (Séminaire Théologique Nazaréen d’Haïti), located on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince, is currently housing earthquake victims.
